A SNOWY DAY

The forecast for North Dakota was right on!  We've had snow most of the day since about 8 o'clock this morning.  When I went out to feed the cats I took the camera along so here some snow shots.

I had a good trip to Weyburn yesterday, despite the icy roads from Oungre to the Goodwater turnoff.  I really didn't want to chance driving on snow covered ice so came home in late afternoon.

I had to miss Abbey's Sunday School program so I felt badly about that.  Lampman School's concert was scheduled for tonight but has been changed to Tuesday morning - not great for working parents.  It's too bad it was such a late date with no good options for a change as school closes tomorrow.

Milestone School has their program twice tomorrow, once in the afternoon and again in the evening.  I guess we won't be getting to any of our grandkids Christmas programs this year.

I was glad to get a phone call from Todd this morning.  They arrived home without any glitches in their travels, unlike many who are stranded in airports all over the country waiting for flights home for Christmas.  Todd is glad they weren't planning a trip to Canada this week.  They are invited out for the 24th, 25th and 26th so are blessed with great friends when they are far away from family.  When Christmas falls on the weekend, most Norwegians don't get extra days off.  Todd and Kristy will be back to work on Monday the 27th.

I had a real good visit with Howard yesterday and he enjoyed having Kirk's visit him too.  Today he sounded a bit blue on the phone.  It will be three weeks tomorrow since he was admitted so he's getting lonesome and bored.  The activity worker is on sick leave so time gets long without much to do.  I am hoping that we can spend some time together next weekend.

There's an eclipse of the moon tonight but I don't think it will be visible here due to the clouds.  I'm not about to stay up to check it out either.  Tomorrow is officially winter and we are definitely going to have a white Christmas!

Well, it's past my bedtime so this will be it for tonight.
