I better hurry up with this blog or it will be Monday before I get it posted! I was watching curling and pinning squares. Before I knew it, eleven o'clock was here.
I went to morning worship at Torquay in my shiny clean Escape. I waited in line at the Co-op car wash for three quarters of an hour yesterday, but it was worth it. My poor vehicle was badly in need of a wash. I'd been waiting until the streets were dry and they are pretty close to that now so I won't get splashed, at least until it snows or rains again.
I came home for lunch and enjoyed leftover pizza from Saturday evening. Carter, Lindsay and Jamie stayed with Grandma while Kirk and Shauna took in the Hedley concert in town. We made pizza for supper, hamburger and weiner, our specialty! The crust got too thick so Jamie wasn't impressed with that, but Lindsay ate hers and I sent some home with Kirk.

We had a movie night as Grandma signed up with Net Flix a couple months ago. We started out in the dining-room, then moved the computer to the family room so we could be more comfortable.

On Friday evening I drove to Bienfait to watch Carter's hockey team in action at 6:00pm. Grandma Louise was there too so we had a good visit while we watched our grandson. He scored the first goal for Lampman right in front of us as we were sitting in the waiting room, right behind the net. Carter did that the last game I was at too, but this time they ended up losing 4 - 6. It was a good game though and the teams were quite evenly matched. |
I had a visit with Heidi (Hurren) Fleck too as their son Gavin is on the same team as Carter. Heidi was hoping their baby would arrive in the next week while there was a "baby doctor" and support staff available in Estevan. Otherwise she'd have to go to Moose Jaw or Regina as Weyburn hospital does not deliver babies. The next morning I saw on Facebook that Heidi and Wade's baby boy arrived at 7:45 am weighing 8 lb. 15 oz. His name is Andrew Patrick Fleck, and that makes two boys and two girls for the Flecks. Congratulations Heidi and Wade! I think Kirk's were your first visitors yesterday afternoon.
Howard was able to wear socks and shoes again today so that means that the swelling is down in his right foot. I hope it stays down now! We watched some of the curling from Red Deer in his room, then did some singing around the piano after supper.
Well, I made the deadline and I'll be in bed before midnight. Have a great week.
