It's the first of September. For three weeks, until Clare turns 41 on Sept. 22, four of the Erickson cousins are 40 years old. Today Jason joins Clare, Joan and Devan at that milestone age. Forty years ago all four of us "Erickson kids" had babies under a year old. Here are those four plus two spouses of cousins who are forty in 2011.

Now I'll back up a few years and post a few pictures of Jason Scott Sanford, first child for Sandra (Erickson) and Merle Sanford. He was born on September 1, 1971 at Shaunavon Hospital. His first home was the house where he is living now! Sandra and Merle rented that place until they built a new home on the Sanford farm. A few years ago Jason purchased that place and has made it into a very cosy home for his family - Marion, Blaine, Katie and the new baby who is due this month. |
Jason and Kirk were both baptized at Bethel Lutheran Church in Frontier on April 23, 1972. Kirk was a month old and Jason was seven months. Here they are with Grandma and Grandpa Erickson. Jason was recovering from a ride down the basement stairs in his walker so looks rather pale after some scary days in the hospital.

Christmas 2010
These pictures show some highlights from Jason's first forty years. Now we are awaiting the news of their third baby, due the middle of this month. There won't be a dull moment in the Jason Sanford household with three children three and under. (I was in the same situation once, Marion, and I survived to tell the story!) Those days go by all too quickly, so enjoy these busy days with your three precious gifts from God. And with the recent rainfall, maybe you won't be able to spend your birthday on the combine, Jason! Have a very Happy Birthday, however you spend it.
