Todd phoned on Monday morning and told me that there was a parcel at the post office in Torquay. He had spotted something in Kristiansand when he was there for his training. He said that "it had my name on it". Of course I was curious! When I got to the post office, Diane had just left for her coffee break at the Fifty and Over Club. Vickie was with her and since it was Vickie's 65th birthday that day, I decided to join them. Then I picked up the mail and was off for Estevan. I opened the parcel in Howard's room. It was wrapped in pretty lilac paper with white flowers so I presume that it was gift wrapped at the store. I tore it open and found a cosy brown bunny hug made by"Moods of Norway". Across the front in cross stitch lettering it says "Kiss me, I am Norwegian". So Howard did just that. The hood is lined with bright pink fabric and the ties for the hood are also bright pink. There's even a recipe for "Grandma's Waffles" printed on a white heart inside the hood.

When Todd was about ten months old we had his picture taken in Estevan. I put a pin on his outfit that read "Kyss meg, jeg er NORSK." So now he was paying me back for putting that pin on him!
Some of the grandchildren are coming tomorrow so I'm baking buns and have ginger cookies ready to bake in the morning. I'll meet Kirk's in Estevan and get in a visit with Howard before taking Carter, Lindsay and Jamie along to the farm. Laurel, Dawson, Eric and Ashley plan to come in the afternoon and spend the night so the cousins can spend part of the weekend together. They'll visit Howard on their way home on Sunday afternoon.
Torquay is having bull riding at the school grounds tomorrow so we'll have to check that out! It was supposed to have been in June but had to be moved to Sept. when we got all that rain this spring.
I'm done messing with apples! I have a good supply of canned applesauce besides a few pies and several containers of apple pie filling in the freezer. I also did seven jars of plum sauce today and hope to do some pears before I call it quits for this year. Oh, there might be some tomatoes to take care of before long. Regina is forecasting frost one of these nights so I better have covers ready for my ten tomato plants.
Well, the first pan of buns is soon baked so I better sign off . Have a great long weekend.
