A cloudy Tuesday

We spent an interesting evening taking part in the Fellowship group that met last night at Todd and Kristy's home. The four couples involved take turns hosting a gathering each month. They are a very diverse group of people - from Norway, Germany, Australia, Canada and two other countries. But they are bound together in Christ - all part of the family of God.

Howard and I went for a walk in the afternoon. We especially enjoy being able to walk just a few minutes behind their home to an area of trees and grass where we can sit and view the North Sea. Quite a contrast from our view as we walk on the country roads at home. But both views are special and so peaceful. It's amazing that such a quiet, secluded spot can be found just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of busy city life. I wonder how many people even know that this peaceful place exists. City planners are to be commended for leaving many natural areas by the sea instead of selling them as prime real estate. People need places of quiet time.

This afternoon we'll take a walk downtown. I still haven't checked out the Salvation Army store so must do that soon.

I did get flatbread baked yesterday as well as some whole wheat bread. Now I am going to do some family research on Ancestry.com
