SUMMER WEATHER!

Yes, it looks like warm weather is here, at least for the next ten days.  The forecast is for temperatures in the upper twenties with little chance of rain.  Sounds great for July 1 celebrations here and for the 4th across the border.  I am planning to take in the Jamboree at Oungre Park on Monday.

Saturday and Sunday have attractions in Torquay with a quilt show in the community centre. Members of the quilting guild are exhibiting the work they have done over the last three years since their last show.  They are also serving coffee/tea and goodies so the $5 admission fee is a bargain!  But instead of telling you all the details I'll add their poster.

I might have to go both days so I won't miss anything!  Hope to see you there!

I spent most of Wednesday in Estevan.  The first thing on my agenda was to wash my very dirty Kiwi!  I had been putting it off as it wasn't much use to try and keep it clean when there was rain every few days.  It should stay clean for a few days, if the forecast is right.  Then I got a haircut, returned items to Sears and dropped a box of household items, a bag of books and a bag of food items off at the Salvation Army. I also stopped at Peavey Mart and was surprised to see how many nice plants they still have.  A clerk said they got a new shipment this week and more are coming!  I bought three hostas and two ferns for my shade garden.  It was too early to head home so I stopped to visit Phyllis, then to the Co-op for groceries and I was on my way home.

My tomatoes are doing well

Well, I've been out for my thirty minute walk so now it's time for breakfast and then back outside to do some planting and yard work.  Have a great weekend!  Kirk's left for Kenosee with their camper yesterday so will be enjoying a two week stay at the park.  Kirk works out of the Carlyle Precision Ag office so he won't have far to drive to work for these two weeks.
