Yes, it's quiet here again as Ashley went back to her family on Friday afternoon. We met Laurel at A & W for lunch. Ashley and I went grocery shopping and also looked around at the Mall for a bit. The favourite attraction there was the horse to ride on for a loonie. Then it was time for Ashley's hair appointment. She loves to go to the hair dresser!
Here's a picture of Ashley off to a birthday party on Saturday afternoon. She loves to wear dresses so leggings are the order of the day now that fall is here.

Saturday was a beautiful "summer" day with temperatures up to plus 20º. I am so thankful for Clare's help with several outside jobs. He cleaned out the rain gutters, gathered up all the piles of leaves on the lawn and got rid or them and washed off the deck with the pressure washer. I gathered up piles of dried up plants from the garden - zucchini, potato, cantaloupe, and tomato. A few windows got washed. Then I watered the evergreen trees to prepare them for winter. The evening was beautiful too. After I burned some of the debris in the fire pit I went for a walk before I came in for supper. I'll share a sunset picture with you.

This morning I was off to service at Trinity followed by coffee fellowship in the auditorium. Our trio got together for practice but we were minus Vi as she has bronchitis and has lost her singing voice for now. We are booked to sing at St. Joseph's Special Care Home on Wednesday afternoon. It was good to do some singing together again.
I spent a lazy afternoon, watched a classic movie, did some reading and spent sometime outdoors. It was cool but felt good in the sunshine with little wind. There's still talk of snow this week and Calgary has had some of it already.
This is short, but maybe that's a treat for you after some longer posts lately! Have a great week.
