October 14

I have company tonight.  Granddaughter Ashley wanted to come home with me after I spent two nights there on the weekend.  She is now sound asleep on the bottom bunk, her bed when she's here.

I drove to Milestone on Friday afternoon.  We enjoyed going to the Craft Sale in Milestone Skating Rink on Saturday morning, after taking in a garage sale in town as well.  It was good to visit and shop at tables of two friends as well as many others with trade and craft tables.  Gail Blaney had garden vegetables, salsa, and homemade aprons for sale at her table.  Edna Olsen had her display of Living Books.

Jodi also joined us along with Abbey, Lindsay and Jamie.  Kirk and Shauna were off to a wedding on Saturday evening.  Carter had a clinic for hockey refs on Sunday in Weyburn so the three Lampman "kids" spent the night in Weyburn.

Carter and Clare spent Saturday at the farm.  I wonder if they drove down in Clare's "new" pickup.  He has always been fond of '79 Fords and happened to come across one at Wapella that he couldn't resist, kind of a "toys for boys" purchase I think. It's the third '79 Ford that's been in the Johnson family.  Maybe I'll do a blog about those someday!  Here's a picture of the current one and the proud owner.

After we had finished shopping in Milestone, Jodi, Abbey and Lindsay went on to Regina to do a little more there as Abbey needed volleyball kneepads for the VB clinics that she is taking this month on Sunday afternoons.

The rest of us went back to Diekragers where the kids enjoyed playing outside on a beautiful fall afternoon.  Here three of them are having fun with the football.  Jamie and Ashley were content to stay inside and have their own fun. Dawson was busy working in the field mowing sloughs.

When I was at Frontier I bought a "twenty minute table runner".  I brought it along to show Jodi and Laurel so perhaps they'll take up sewing with that kind of a project.  Here we are looking at some material that I had in my collection.  The Snoopy fabric appealed to Jodi!

Our Faith Circle meets tomorrow afternoon so I think I better have a look at the bible study before heading for bed.  Have a great week!
