My words for the day are taken from Our Daily Bread for March 28, 2012.
Like waves of the sea and flowers of the field (Isa. 40:6), our lives are brief and seen by few. Yet each one is a beautiful “moment” created by God to say to the world, “Behold, your God!” whose Word will last forever (v.8).
Only one life, so live it well,
And keep your candle trimmed and bright;
Eternity, not time, will tell
The radius of that candle’s light. —Miller

We fulfill our purpose when we serve our Creator.
Today is a dreary day, cloudy with a cool breeze. It's suitable weather for this sad day for the Fonstad and Roysum families and all the extended family and friends who are grieving the passing of twenty-eight year old Megan (Roysum) Fonstad. Just a year ago this month, Megan was diagnosed with lung cancer although she had never been a smoker. No one remained more positive and as full of faith and hope and love as Megan did in her year long battle to fight this dread disease. She shared her experience on the following website. Megan was married to James Fonstad, son of Ron and Gail (Grimsrud) Fonstad, our close neighbours at the farm. They have two girls, Olivia who is four and Kaybree who is two. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/meganfonstad Megan lived her life well and was a shining light for all who knew and loved her. Her spirit lives on.
Thank you God, for giving us Megan, a cherished "moment".
