Sunday Evening Mar.25

Ready for bed -Ashley and Bitty Baby
Where do I start with catching up on a busy four days?  On Thursday I went to St. Joe's for the weekly service at 11:00 and played for the hymn that Marion chose to go with her message.  She is reading from a book dealing with aging and I am appreciating it too.  She had misplaced her file of income tax information so I hope she has located it.  I was just finishing my bookwork for our accountant (Clare!) and I can't imagine the feeling of frantically searching for it.  I hope it's safe in his computer!  I don't have the Caseware program on my Mac so he had me put it on one of his laptops.

On Friday I was doing last minute preparations for Todd's arrival.  I always enjoy tracking their flight across the ocean.  I was visiting Howard when they landed in Calgary but Laurel let me know that they had landed safely.  He was on the same plane as Greg's mom and sister, Gaylene and Danita Diekrager.  Danita flew to Hemet, CA earlier in the week and helped her mom get her winter home packed up until next year.  They both enjoy shopping for Ashley so she has a new wardrobe for spring and summer!  Danita's vehicle was at the airport so Todd was able to ride with them to Laurel's, perfect timing!

On Saturday morning I headed for Weyburn to watch Eric's 10:45 game.  Todd spotted me as I was looking for them in the stands and came to the waiting room with a big hug for his mother.  Then we joined Clare and the Diekrager family.  It was an exciting game that ended in a tie followed by a shootout.  Eric started for his team but didn't manage to score and the opposition ended up winning the game.

We went to Clare and Jodi's for lunch, even though Jodi and Abbey weren't home.  They were in Strasbourg for a dance competition.  Abbey's group was awarded two firsts and two seconds.  I had promised Eric a DQ cake but decided to honor Dawson and Todd too, so the cake had all three names on it.  Laurel took the pictures.  They were happy with my choice of an oreo cake.  By the way, did you know that Oreo's first came out 100 years ago this month, in fact on my dad's fifth birthday!

We relaxed at Clare's, Todd played hide and seek with the kids and read stories to Ashley.  He enjoyed some one on one time with them in Abbey's basement playroom.  The rest of us watched curling until it was time to go to Eric's next game at 4:45.  This one was a great game too, even though the Wheat Kings ended up losing 5-3.  The score doesn't tell the whole story though as Eric had scored all three of their goals and was awarded "Hustler of the game" for their team.  He was pretty happy to have played such a good game when Uncle Todd and Uncle Clare were there to watch him.  Here's an after the game picture.

We had a good visit with Howard when we got back from Weyburn.  He was so pleased to see Todd again and was in a visiting mood.

I guess I goofed up somehow and the rest of my blog and pictures disappeared!  I'll fix it in the morning as I think it will go better then.  Good-night!
