Good morning,
Here I am on Thursday morning, just forgot all about doing my blog last night! I guess I was distracted as I am now at Kirk and Shauna's. After visiting Howard yesterday afternoon I came here for supper and will stay for two nights. Kirk and Shauna left at seven this morning for Saskatoon where they are taking in the Brier today. The highlight will be the Alberta vs Ontario game this evening. Saskatchewan has had some good games but will have to chalk up this experience as a learning event, their first time at it. Saskatchewan can't seem to produce a consistent mens curling team.
I played Candyland with Jamie last night, then bowled a game on Wii with Jamie and Carter. I ended up winning by a few points so Carter switched to playing tennis!
I got a special birthday present last night - a 1942 fifty cent coin! I don't think I've seen one before, let alone owned one. According to Kirk's research, it would have paid for ten bottles of Coke or two gallons of gas in its day!
"Grandma, are you done yet?" Jamie is anxious to play house with me. She even said that I can play in my pyjamas but I think it's time to get dressed and have breakfast before Carter and Lindsay are off to school.
The forecast for this weekend is for double digit, above zero temperatures so we might be saying good-bye to the little snow that we have. Next week is supposed to have more of the same. Are we going to have an early spring? Time will tell.
