A GOOD FINISH!

Wednesday was a great day!  I had a Dr. apt at 11:30 in Weyburn.  I got a good report and am finished with the antibiotic.  I was craving an egg salad sandwich so Laurel picked up lunch at The Welsh Kitchen and Bakery and we drove out to the Weyburn Golf Course where cross country district races were taking place.  Lindsay was competing in the grade five girls category.  It was a cold, windy day but she was well prepared with her Norsk toque and wool long sleeved sweater under her green Lampman tee shirt.  I was glad to have a warm jacket of Laurel's and a toque from Kirk to wear. Lindsay had lots of family support with two aunts - Lauretta and Laurel, Uncle Clare, Grandma plus Shauna and Kirk.  She was the first to cross the 2 km finish line with a time of 10.08 minutes.  Way to go Lindsay!  There were 47 girls running in this race and she outran them all.

Lots of family support for Lindsay

In the lead!

First across the finish line!

A happy girl with another gold medal!

A proud grandma with this great runner!
My plans are to stay here until Monday when Laurel will take me back to the farm.  There is no school here tomorrow so they are off to Regina for appointments.  I may go along and visit a friend if that works out. Have a good rest of the week.
