I haven't had any quotes to start my blog lately so I was glad to see this one on Pintrest to share with you. It fits in with all the experiences that my grandchildren are having!
Seeding came to an end about nine o'clock on Sat. evening when a thunderstorm with heavy rain set in. Clare had just finished seeding the Johnson land "over east" (just six miles away) and had moved to land just a few miles north and west of here. The power was off for a couple hours as lightning and thunder continued. It came back on before midnight, then was off again in the night. Our rain gauge showed 1.4 inches but there was close to two inches in many nearby areas. The fields got a good watering with some low areas drowned out. It's been cloudy and cool so the moisture will be soaking in and nourishing those new plants. Crops are off to a great start.
This picture came this morning of Nora's class at Barnehage. I don't think the group looks any different from a group of Canadian toddlers, do you? They would certainly sound differently though as it's all Norsk at Barnehage!

Abbey and Jodi spent the weekend in Saskatoon where Abbey's ball team competed in a tournament. It's a good thing the rain stayed farther south! Abbey pitched one entire game which her team won 19 - 2. They won three of the four games in their pool but only the top team moved on and one team had won all four games.
Lindsay and Jamie are also playing ball so their trips for sports have switched from hockey to ball.
Today Lindsay was in Weyburn competing in track and field. Clare sent a picture of her in action. As you can see, she was well out in front!
Here she is with her first place ribbon in the 400 meter. Way to go, Lindsay. You can run like the wind!

Eric's 3 on 3 hockey ends tomorrow in Regina. His team lost their first game on Monday evening.
Dawson is on an overnight class trip to Kenosee. He'll be back on Tuesday evening so I'll share his experiences on my next blog.
I've been so busy writing about the grandchildren so just a line or two about me. I enjoyed playing with the accordion group of four at the Regional Nursing Home in Estevan on Friday. It was their monthly birthday party and they were served birthday cake with tea and coffee in china cups that have been donated for just such a use. The tables looked so festive and the residents enjoyed the old time music that we play.
I better close this post and get a few more things done before bedtime. See you later in the week.
