| An afternoon visitor to my yard! |
There was a new sight to the north - the drilling rig is up on this side of Salem. Here's a picture taken from close to the Johnson farm.
Todd, Kristy and Nora are spending a few days in Sweden and enjoyed celebrating the coming of summer there. It was a cold day with wind, snow, rain and a bit of sunshine. You can see that they are dressed for the weather! Nora enjoyed singing in the circle. A week from today they will be flying to Edmonton on Iceland Air!
School activities are winding down this week with the last day of school on June 26. St. Michael's in Weyburn had their awards night this week. Abbey made the honour roll and was also awarded "most promising brass player" in the band program. Here she is with her awards.
Today Lindsay is competing in track and field in Saskatoon. It's still rainy there so hope the meet can take place. I'll add an update later today. Later: Congratulations, Lindsay, for placing third in the 400 meter and fourth in standing broad jump in a group of sixteen. Well done, and in the rain too!
I got my BBQ planter in place the other day so took a picture of it this morning. The cat decided to pose with it too!
So that's it for this first day of summer. Enjoy!
