HOLIDAYS

Carter, Lindsay and Jamie heading for their first Rider game

No, I'm not about to take a holiday but it seems like I'm having one right here at home.  Harvest isn't quite wrapped up but it's damp this week so no combiners to feed.  Jeff left yesterday to spend ten days with his family in St. Thomas, ON.  I didn't need to set the alarm last night to be sure I'd be up in time to make breakfast.  But I was awake before seven anyway as that's been my schedule for quite awhile.

Today I did some reading and made phone calls to take care of some business.  I got an estimate for having most of the rugs on the main floor replaced.  I don't think I'll be doing all of them!  I rearranged my bedroom so I'll see how I like it before the new mattress and box spring gets here later this week.

Somebody did me a favour yesterday and ran over the stray black and white tom cat that has been hanging around here for most of the summer.  It was lying in the middle of the road just past the driveway when I cam home from town.

Tomorrow morning I'll head for the library as I volunteer there each Thursday morning from 10 until 11:30.  I finished the book that I borrowed last week so I can take out the next one in the series.   A few of the play school children have taken books home so that's great.  Maybe I'll see some new ones tomorrow.

Well, it feels like bedtime so this will be short tonight.  Have a good rest of the week.  See you on Sunday.
