My Wednesday was a full day! I went with Vickie to Estevan in the morning as Susan had asked us for help with music at a funeral at Trinity. Art Ulmer had played accordion and really enjoyed that music. With Vickie at the piano, Susan, Wilma and I on accordions, we played the prelude and postlude for the service. Vickie also played piano for the service along with Susan on the organ.
After lunch I went to pick up the 1994 Mercury at Long Creek Motors where the mechanic had checked it over and taken care of getting needed repairs done. It now has a new windshield, new tires, wiper blades and a few other improvements. It will soon be ready for a trip to Alberta, perhaps next week.
At 3:30 we took part in the monthly birthday party at St. Joseph's Special Care Home. Ladies from Trinity, Torquay and Susan from Homespun Harmonies took part in the program. The Torquay Grannies were down to two grannies yesterday so Vickie and I sang duets instead of our usual trios. We ended the program with Vickie at the piano, Susan and I on accordions playing a variety of musical numbers, mostly "oldies". Ken was the only resident with a birthday in October, on the 7th, so we sang Happy Birthday to him.
Our group of ladies enjoyed supper together at Houston Pizza. Wednesday night is their Seniors night so the timing was right!
Then we were off to Creighton Lodge to do a program there. We always enjoy playing there to this appreciative audience. We even did some encore numbers before sharing lunch with them. We visited over coffee before heading for home. Susan and Ray are leaving for Arizona next week so the accordion group will be missing half the members as the Linns have also gone south for the winter.
Now it's Thursday morning so it's soon time to head to the library. I visited the Estevan Library yesterday and picked up a couple pumpkin books to share with the play school group this morning. They will be excited about going trick or treating later today. We have no snow but the forecast says there's a chance of rain and snow tonight with a high of plus 9ÂșC today.

I don't expect many visitors here tonight but I'll make a batch of caramel corn this afternoon. I use Muriel's recipe so I'll be thinking of her as I get it ready. I'll have pictures of the grandkids in costumes on my next post.
