| A surprise birthday party on Friday night in Lampman! |
Three birthdays were enough for one post so Shauna gets one by herself today! She and Kirk celebrated this special birthday with a trip to New York City and then to Boston. I'll share some of their pictures on this post so here goes.

| Kirk found the Norwegian word for "Welcome"! |

Twelve Johnsons were together for Abbey's 12th birthday on Saturday, Septempber 7 but I didn't get a picture of Kirk and Shauna's family. The new batch of kittens is an attraction at the farm so here are pictures of Carter, Lindsay and Jamie with three of the kittens. Kirk and Shauna came home from their trip a day earlier than planned due to an accident that Carter had at the farm. His right arm was pinned under a tipped ride-on mower resulting in two broken bones, a deep cut and a damaged tendon. Surgery was performed in Regina on Friday evening. Kirk and Shauna arrived back on Saturday night not long after Carter had been discharged from the General Hospital. They were all glad to be back home in their own beds in Lampman that night! Carter is doing very well, using an iPad at school. He speaks to it and can then email the printed words to his teacher. Next week he will see the plastic surgeon to check on the arm and see if the wound has healed to enable putting on a cast. We are all so thankful that he wasn't hurt worse and have a greater appreciation for doctors who are there late in the evening on a long weekend to take care of emergencies. Heartfelt thanks to Doctors Chang and Alshrif from the Johnson families.
