Pictures added on Friday
I didn't get Sunday's blog updated more than once so this will be another update. Here's a picture taken at the pool in Crosby of my seven grandchildren on the steps up to the slide. The lifeguards take a ten minute break every hour so it's everyone out of the pool for those breaks. That gave a good opportunity to get the seven swimmers posed on the steps. They had such a good time there and enjoyed seeing Clare and Kirk diving off the board too. Here are more pictures that Shauna sent:

This is VBS week in Torquay - Vacation Bible School. Ashley is staying with me this week so we are off to Torquay before ten each morning. The sessions finish at noon. Sometimes I stay in town and visit. Yesterday I went home to catch up on some jobs that needed doing. I'm not sure what I will do this morning!
Dawson is also away from home this week. Here he is at Dallas Valley Ranch Camp north of Regina. He was happy to get there early on Monday afternoon so he could pick a good spot. A top bunk was what he chose. Last year he and Eric attended for a three day session but this year he went for six so will be home after the morning service on Sunday. The boys were not in the same age group this year so Eric didn't want to go on his own. Horse back riding is one of the activities that Dawson was looking forward to doing again.
Nora had three days at Barnehage this week. Here she is on a rainy day. Children are outside playing in most kinds of weather so need clothes for rain or shine. As they say in Norway, "There's no bad weather, only bad clothes." They don't get our minus 30º - 40º below zero blizzard conditions though! Nora has her nap outside here too, in her buggy.
Clare is off to Halbrite this morning for a soybean event - studying plots of different varieties of seed and having an omelette breakfast. He and Jason are growing three varieties so will have comparisons to make after harvest, which will likely be the end of Sept. for soybeans.

I'll close off my post with pictures from the Salem service last Sunday. The Johnson family did the scripture readings, Cindy Daae had the children's corner.

People spent time visiting graves of loved ones both before and after the service. The red "wave petunias" on Howard's grave are doing well. The garden flag reads "Love Lives On." I stop by with two watering cans of water a couple times a week for these and the angel trumpets and marigolds in front of the bell tower. I'll add a picture of those next week.
Now it's time to do some watering in my garden before we leave for today's session of VBS. I'll be back on the weekend.
