It seemed an appropriate day to go through some of Howard's shirts that are still hanging in the closet. He kept most of his everyday clothes in "his bathroom", the one just off the laundry room. That room really hasn't been touched. The drain for the sink needs replacing but somehow it just isn't a priority right now. A bottle of hand sanitizer serves those who use that room. It's hard to get enthused about getting these improvements done but hopefully that will happen in its time.
Today was another beautiful summer day, warm with hardly a breeze. I did a little cleaning up in the trees with the grass trimmer. There was frost in some areas but no evidence of it here. I might have to cover the tomatoes on Friday as the forecast is for a low of minus 3. Tomorrow is expected to be plus 24 so sounds like another great day. Clare is coming out to get things ready to harvest the soybeans over east. I may go to Estevan for part of the day to do a little shopping.
I talked to Todd and Kristy around noon. Nora was having a fussy day so they were asking about gripe water. I remember how that calmed Dawson down when he had colic. Surely they must have something similar in Norway! I suggested that they check with the pharmacy there so I hope they find some tomorrow. It'd take a week to get some sent by mail!
I didn't plant a lot of flowers this year as I knew I'd be gone for three weeks this summer. I put a few around the 1928 JD tractor in the yard so took a picture of it yesterday before the flowers freeze.

Well, I don't usually do a Monday blog but the 17th date will always be significant so wanted to acknowledge that four month milestone today, as well as Judy's birthday on a sad day for her and their family. Next month is Alan's birthday, also on the 17th.

Just love your flowers around your tractor,Elaine! Keep your head up. Your are a strong woman.
