Monday Morning Visitor! Just had to add these pictures to my post this morning.
It's another beautiful sunny, calm day, a day to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. But first I'll be off to Sunday service at Trinity where I'll play my accordion along with Vickie on the piano. We do that sometimes when the hymns are more suitable for the accordion than for the organ. Today they are all from "With One Voice" and many have the chords listed, which is great for accordion playing.

I talked with Todd on Facetime this afternoon. It's his first day back at work tomorrow since Nora's arrival so it will be a change for Kristy not to have him around home during the day. Nora has been on a better schedule lately so hopefully she will have a good day with Mom.
Tomorrow morning I have a yearly medical with Dr. Katie Fong in Weyburn. That means I'll be up and out of here fairly early in the morning. I usually get the lab work done in Estevan so that will be another day later his week.
Host Fest is on this week in Minot, ND. I haven't been there for a few years and am not ready to go without Howard yet. Neither one of us really enjoyed the big crowds. I think our favourite memory of Host Fest is from 1982 when we took Mom and Dad there. It was strictly Scandinavian then, no other
"big name" entertainers and we all liked that. We had rooms booked to go the next year, but on September 15, 1983 Mom had a massive heart attack and life for her and Dad was forever changed. She lived another year, the last months in a nursing home, and died on November 4, 1984. I'm so glad they got to experience Host Fest. We never know when our last chance will be to enjoy an occasion together, whether a special event or an afternoon visit.
I enjoyed having Clare, Kirk, Carter and Jamie here overnight on Friday. Jamie wondered if she could use one of Grandma's tea cups so we kept up the tradition and she picked the one that I had used last time. It was one from my Great Aunt Inga's collection in San Diego, CA. I think she would be pleased that her cup is being enjoyed by my granddaughters rather than just gathering dust up on the shelf.
I'm not really a football fan but I guess I'll go downstairs now and see how it's going. Have a great first week of autumn!
