This is your lucky birthday, eight years old on March 8. We remember the cold, windy day that we drove to Regina to see you that day in 2003. You weighed 9 pounds 12 ounces and were 22 inches long so you were off to a good start. Todd and Kristy came to see you too and then we drove to Moose Jaw that cold night and stayed in the cosy home that Kristy was renting while taking classes in MJ.

Eric loves many different sports including track and field and basketball which are pictured above. He plays hockey, loves golf, swimming and playing ball. We got to see the first game of his Novice tournament last weekend and saw Eric score during the shoot out. He was very proud of the medal that he came home with.
Have a very Happy Birthday, Eric and enjoy that DQ cake! Did you know that March 8 is a very important date for Grandma and Grandpa too? That's the day that we first met in Swift Current forty-six years ago! Grandpa was visiting his cousins, Dave and Bea Bergum. I lived a couple houses down the street and used to baby sit their daughter Kathy and also went to church with them. They invited me over for coffee that Monday evening and as the saying goes, the rest is history!
I'm sure that Laurel will have some birthday pictures for me to add tomorrow.
