Happy Birthday, Tayha ( a month late) and to Me!

In an email greeting from Todd and Kristy, they wondered if I was going to do a blog for myself today.  Well, I'm not!  Instead I will do a special one tomorrow on the first anniversary of my blog.  I missed doing a blog for our great niece, Tayha Rolfes, on her birthday a month ago so today I'm going to catch up.  Since we share number ten for our birthdays, it seemed an appropriate day to do this.  I can always remember how old she is as all I have to do is subtract 60 from my age to get hers!

On January 10 our great niece Tayha celebrated her ninth birthday.  That was the week after we moved to Weyburn for a three month stay.  I had the flu, then a cough that persisted for a couple weeks.  I had left my computer at home so was using the one here which was down the stairs in the "Woodshed".  I didn't spend much time down there as it was on the cool side and I seemed to be chilly most of the time.  I curled up under a blanket in the den with the electric fireplace on and blogging was minimal.  Consequently, I didn't get a blog done for Tayha's birthday.  Enough excuses, Elaine!

Tayha is the daughter of Heather and Mark Rolfes and a granddaughter of my brother Merv and his wife Jan.  We visited the Rolfes family in Birch Hills when Cooper was just a baby so it's time to make a return visit.  When we were there they were completing work on a new house in Birch Hills.  Now they have built a house on an acreage out of town so we are anxious to see that one.

We are looking forward to the Erickson Family reunion in Cypress Park in July.  We don't see some of our family members in between reunions so there are a lot of changes in three years.  Here are some recent pictures of Tayha, thanks to Heather's Facebook albums.

It looks like you had a very fun birthday party, Tayha.  We are looking forward to seeing you in July.
