Lindsay made her arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital in Estevan on February 26, 2004. Shauna and Kirk had made an earlier trip to Estevan in blizzard conditions only to have a false alarm. We got to see this pretty little baby when she was just hours old. It is special to have grandchildren just an hours drive away.
We have stayed with the grandchildren several times when Kirk and Shauna have gone away. It is hard for Lindsay to see them go. Once when they were away Lindsay had gone to bed but was a bit tearful. Two year old Jamie crawled up the ladder to Lindsay's bunk bed , gave her big sister a hug and said, "Don't cry, sweetie. Mom and Dad will soon be home".
Lindsay is excited to be taking dance lessons this year. I hope we can make it to their dance recital in April. This year she sang "Happy Birthday" to me while standing on her head. Nobody has ever done that before!

Lindsay has had a very special birthday week with her family. They went to Saskatoon to visit Shauna's brother Aaron and family, then to Lacombe to visit Kirks' cousins, Mandy and Mareena and their families. When Lindsay was in Lacombe, my sister Sandra was also there visiting her daughters and grandkids. Lindsay told her "You sound just like my grandma." Next they were off to Calgary to take in a Flames vs Boston Bruins game, on to Edmonton for two nights at the Edmonton Mall and visits with Kirk's Auntie Ardis, cousin Kris and family. I'm not sure where Lindsay is celebrating her birthday today! Wherever you are, we are wishing you a very happy 7th birthday. We look forward to seeing you soon! Lots of love to a very special seven year old from Grandma Johnson.
