Sunday evening

I just got back from an evening at Clare and Jodi's.  Football was the main feature with a yummy supper served on TV trays in the living-room, fireplace crackling and making a very cosy atmosphere.  Gaby, Jodi's mom, is an avid football fan, unlike Clare's mom!

Howard came here just before noon yesterday, stayed overnight and Clare took him back to Tatagwa about an hour ago.  He did very well overnight.  We went to bed around ten and he wasn't out of bed until twenty to six this morning.  We didn't venture out to church in the cold and snow but took in several services on radio and TV.  We tried a bit of singing last night so that was good.

Todd phoned this afternoon.  Clare and Abbey came over when they got back from their overnight stay in Lampman.  They went out yesterday afternoon to take in Carter's home hockey tournament.  Carter's team won the gold.  Carter's coach gave him an award for being the hardest working player on their team.  (He also scored a goal)  Jamie broke out in welts all over her body so must be allergic to something.  Benadryl make them go away so now they'll be trying to figure out what caused this reaction.  Kirk called tonight and I also talked to Jamie.  She was glad the spots are all gone.

I was hoping to take in quilting on Mondays in Torquay but as long as there is snow in the forecast I'm staying put!  Maybe Clare will go down to Torquay one of these days so I can pick up a quilt or two to tie here.  The kitchen nook is an ideal place for that with a long pine table and a padded bench on each side.  There's a flat screen TV at one end so I can watch and tie at the same time.

I haven't ventured out to do any visiting so I guess I still think I'm living at the farm.  I'm just enjoying our new home.  Visiting Howard or having him here takes up most of my time and the days go by quickly.  I visit via phone or the internet for now.

Tomorrow one of our great nieces has her ninth birthday.  I hope to do a special blog for you tomorrow, Tayha.  I might have to borrow some pictures from your mom's Facebook page as I am still without my computer.

Have a great week everyone.
