SEEDING TIME

We have finally had some warm spring weather! I made the first trip to the field with supper for the crew last night.  The above pictures were taken right beside the US border so my Escape is just a few feet north of the border.

Today I am taking off for the long weekend.  Jodi is taking today off so has an extra long weekend.  She will take over the cooking duties on Sunday and I'll be back for my next turn on Wednesday.

I am heading out to Frontier so will take in their Syttende Mai program tomorrow afternoon.  I'm not going to wear any special Norsk outfit but will wear my hummingbird shirt with Psalm 121 on it.  I found it last summer in Plentywood and it really "had my name on it".  The morning of May 17, as we sat by Howard's bedside, a hummingbird tapped on the window of his room.  Later that day, a hummingbird was spotted out our living-room window. Howard made a point of reading Psalm 121 whenever someone left on a trip.  He made his final trip that day so that Psalm along with hummingbirds is so suitable to wear to mark the day of his passing.

This is a short post but wanted to let you know about my plans for the weekend.  I am meeting Laurel in Weyburn and Ashley is coming with me. On Saturday she will wear the Norsk "bunad" that Laurel bought her on our trip to Norway last year.  She will have fun playing with Jason and Marion's three - Blaine, Katie and Rhett.

I will update after the weekend, expect to be back on Tuesday evening.  Have a great long weekend all of you Canadian readers.  Americans have to wait a week for yours.  Norwegians had their Labour Day on May 1 and also have holidays on Ascension Day and Pentecost.
