Winter Activities

Yes, I will be your Valentine, Nora!

The above picture has been on my computer desktop since Valentines Day.  Since I didn't include it in my last post, I'll  start with it today and extend Valentines day a few days!
Myrna shared her roses with me via iPhone!

I should have stayed in Yuma a week or two longer! On Saturday, Ernie and Myrna took in the Sons of Norway "Norsk Day".  Unfortunately, the lines for lefse were three deep and LONG so they missed out on that but had a traditional meatball dinner and some entertainment.
12 accordions in this band.

A busy lefse crew

Looks good!
I got hungry for lefse when I saw these pictures.  It's a good thing I had some in the freezer so I could satisfy that craving!  No lineups either.

I am looking forward to taking in The Tenors on Tuesday evening in Regina.  The weather forecast is kind of "iffy" so I may take the bus from Weyburn, go to Clare and Jodi's on Sunday after church.  I have bookwork to do for income tax so that would be a good chance to catch up on that with my accountant son.

Shauna and the kids made it safely to San Diego on Friday.  Kirk met them there and drove to Palm Springs where a house was rented for some of the Precision Ag families.  Sounds like they were happy with the accomodations - plus 25º with a beautiful pool and hot tub in the back yard.  Kirk and Carter were off golfing this morning.  It's a good week to be away with a school break and snow and cold temps and wind again in the forecast.

Carter ready for a provincial hockey game
The night before they left, Carter had a 7:30 game in Lumsden, north of Regina.  Here he is, all dressed up  and ready to hit the road.  Good thing Shauna didn't have to drive as it was near midnight when they got home and she was ready to leave the house the next morning at 8.

Dawson't team had a nail biter last Tuesday in the second game of provincials against Redvers.  They ended up tied in total points after regulation time and Milestone scored the winning goal.  They move on to play in the next round, possibly against Carnduff.

Well, I am ready to leave for Torquay for our 10:30 service.  After a quick coffee following worship, I will head for Weyburn.  I'll be going to Regina on Tuesday to enjoy The Tenors.  Tell you all about it on my next post.  Have a good week!
