HOME SWEET HOME post # 350

Condo units at Mesa del Sol, my Yuma home for the past two weeks
Myrna and Ernie's place is just behind the first of the three palm trees

The large patio doors look out on a driving range
with a golf course just north of it
Ernie absorbed in the Super Bowl
wireless headphones give him better sound
The entrance, kitchen window on the left, double doors to living-room,
den windows on right (my bedroom)

I arrived back at the farm shortly after noon today.  I couldn't get into the garage so filled our "snow scoop" with groceries, luggage etc. and made three trips to the house with my makeshift "toboggan".  It really beat trying to carry things through snow drifts!

The flight from Phoenix to Regina went well and was right on time, under three hours.  The sun was shining most of the way and I had a window seat - perfect for taking in sites like the Grand Canyon.  Why would anyone read a book or watch a movie when such sites are out the window?

Laurel and Ashley were there to meet me and we were off to Milestone by 3:30.  The crockpot supper of scalloped potatoes and ham was all ready for us.  After and early supper we were all off to town.  Ashley had her half hour of dance lessons, Eric and Dawson had hockey practice.  Ashley and Eric went home with us and Greg stayed to help with Dawson's practice.  Tuesday evenings are busy!

After the boys left on the bus this morning, I packed up my things and headed for home.  There was a chance of snow in the forecast but nothing came of it - so far. (Update at 11pm, the snow has arrived) The roads and weather were good for  the trip to Torquay.  I stopped in Weyburn for groceries and pills, in Torquay for the mail, and at Salem to leave some red flowers from Ashley at Howard's grave.

I spent the afternoon unpacking, washing up my summer clothes and packing them away again. There were two weeks worth of mail to go through so I sorted through that, paid some bills online and set the rest aside for another day.

After supper I made some phone calls, caught up with some Scrabble games on Facebook, read some more mail and now it's bedtime. I've added a few pictures and will do a picture post when I get the ones that Ernie took on our travels.

I slept so well on the air bed at Yuma so we'll see how I adjust to being back in my own bed again.  As Ashley told me last night, and I was to repeat after her "Good-night. Sleep tight.  Don't let the bedbugs bite!"
