Yes, the month of May is here with many special days. April ended with two special days too. Laurel sent pictures from Abbey in "De Tricky Feet" dance recital so here are two of those.
On Monday we visited Grandpa and Aunt Viola along with a few other residents. Ashley also likes to visit Ken, Pearl and Ida. Then we were off to Lampman for Jamie's play school "grad". Ashley would have loved to have been up there with Jamie but did consent to sit with Grandma instead. She had lots of fun before the program and at the "dance" and lunch that followed. Here are pictures of the two cousins, one at the program and the other at Kirk and Shauna's when they were playing dress up, even had shoes to match their dresses!

Ashley and I enjoyed an overnight stay and headed for Estevan in the morning for another visit at St. Joseph's. We stayed until after Grandpa had his KFC lunch, then did some shopping before going back to Torquay and the farm.
We have pheasants in the trees north of the house. One cock has become quite friendly and likes to tap on a basement window with his beak. Ashley was quite excited to watch "the chicken" and Laurel managed to get a picture of it.

Today Ashley was busy picking beautiful flowers for grandma. Here she is on the deck with her veil and bouquet.
I almost forgot to tell you the most exciting news of the month. On May Day I booked flights for Sandra and my trip to Norway! We will fly from Regina on Wednesday, July 18 and return three weeks later on Wednesday, August 8. I didn't plan it this way but we leave three days after Merle's birthday and arrive home three days before Howard's. We're still working on our itinerary for the three weeks in Norway, but it's a good feeling to have our seats reserved for the trip across the ocean. No, we won't be there for the arrival of Todd and Kristy's baby which is due the end of August. But that will give me an excuse to go back another time!
Tomorrow afternoon Ashley and I are taking the bus to Milestone. I'll stay overnight and be back in Estevan Friday afternoon so I can visit Howard both days. On Saturday afternoon it's back to Lampman for Lindsay and Jamie's dance recital. It's great to be close enough to take in our grandchildren's special events. With that, I'm off to bed so I have enough energy to keep us this busy schedule!
