Today is our favourite son-in-law's birthday. Aren't you glad that I don't have any pictures of you from years ago on my computer, Greg? I'll see what I can find since you joined our family on April 12, 1997. That was a wet spring too, but Long Creek didn't go over the bridge, although it looked for awhile like it would. Laurel said that it snowed last year on your birthday but I don't think that will happen this year, if the forecast is right. You were lucky to have missed the blizzard we had last weekend.

Laurel and Greg Diegrager
April 12, 2011 |
Laurel and I were up early last Friday to watch the Royal Wedding. When I saw Catherine's gown, the top of it reminded me of Laurel's with the lace sleeves and V neckline. Laurel was introduced to Greg at the office where she worked for SADD in Regina. Don McMorris, now MLA for Indian Head/Milestone and Minister of Health, was the one who introduced them. (Don's son, Mark, is now a top notch snow boarder, has won world events at the age of 17.)
There is so much emphasis on being green now. A member of the Green party even won a seat in our national election last Monday! But Greg has been promoting green most of his life. Just look at his machinery and you'll see that most, if not all of it, has green paint! Here are some pictures to prove it.

To get a picture of Greg by himself I had to crop a picture of him that was taken when he was a bestman for his good friend, Randy. Randy married Greg's cousin, Donna. The two couples enjoy getting together with their families.

Taking the boys for a boat ride is a favourite summer activity at the Diekrager cottage.
Golfing is another one.

Watch out for Greg in 2011!
Have a very Happy Birthday, Greg, even if you can't spend it in the field. |
