Well, it was quiet inside, but I can't say the same for the outdoors today. I awoke at 5 a.m. to the sound of the howling wind. Visibility wasn't good either as I could barely make out the lights of the oil rig just a mile south of here. So it was back to bed, but not to sleep with the noise of the wind whirling around the house. I decided not to venture out for morning service, which was at 10:30. The visibility was better but such a cold, strong wind was not my idea of a nice morning drive. A call from Vi confirmed the decision as they weren't about to venture out either. It's a good thing Vickie lives in town so Trinity still had a piano player this morning.
So I had a lazy day, didn't even get out of my housecoat until late this afternoon! There was no danger of company coming today so I could be a bit careless! I didn't have to do any cooking either as I had leftover rice "grout" for dinner and found two slices of pizza in the freezer for supper.
Many hockey games were cancelled today so you know the weather conditions weren't good when that happens!
I spent the afternoon in my cosy recliner reading a book on my iPad and playing Scrabble whenever a message appeared to say that it was my turn. I had a tough game with Sharon, a random player. She had two Bingos one after the other and ended up with a score of 506 while I just barely made it to 300! She'll be looking for tougher competition after that game!
I was so glad to catch up on the bookwork on Saturday. Now it is ready for my accountant son to do my income tax.
Here's the official forecast for tonight and Monday. Tomorrow sounds like another day to stay inside!
Now that the books are done, I must get at the sewing machine. Now that I've said that, I'll have to update you on Wednesday to let you know how I made out. As for tonight, I'm going to bed early!

Glad to see you are warm at home. Our power was out for 4 hours sunday morning, terrible wind but no snow. Glad it wasn't out any longer. We aren't as cold as you and have no snow left. Have a good week! Fun to read your blogs!
