RIDER NATION!

A sign in front of a home on Albert St. in Regina
(sign is 40 ft. wide with 6ft x 4 ft letters!)

Yes, the along awaited day is here for Rider football fans - the Saskatchewan Roughriders are playing in the Grey Cup on their own turf!  This is the one hundred and first Grey Cup game.  Saskatchewan has won it three times so are hungry for a fourth win.  It would be even sweeter to win it at home and they have a chance today.

The rest of my family are avid fans but Clare is the only one at the game today.  The rest of us are keeping warm in front of TV's.  Laurel's have company over, Kirk's are watching with friends in Alameda, Todd went to bed as the game starts at midnight Norway time. He will get up to watch the end of the game.  Jeff and I are watching it here at home.

Update:  The Riders did it, they are Grey Cup Champions!  It was amazing to see how the fans did not leave the stadium when the game was over but stayed until the presentations, comments and celebrations on the field were over.  It will be a long night for many of them!

We celebrated with a batch of popcorn and now I'm ready for bed, no late night here!  I'll update with pictures from the game when Clare sends some.  Todd sent a message at 9:17 "Right on Riders!  Lots of love from Norway"
