| Back from Crosby and Ambrose! |
Then I stopped at a favourite store, J.Co. Drugs. I miss the sale room that they used to have at the back of the store, but did find one item on sale that will make a good stocking stuffer. Next I went to the quilt shop to see if I could find some green fabric for my "Posies in the Park" memory quilt. The owner was very helpful and I came home with some teal green fabric with my favourite designs - hearts scattered all over the fabric. This picture was taken in the evening and the colour is distorted from the lighting but you'll get the idea.

I didn't stop at Garbel's furniture store but did pick up a few things at the Hardware Store. Then I was off to Supervalu which had lots of grocery items on special before their Thanksgiving Day on Thursday. Laurel requested a few things - Christmas pretzels in tree, star and bell shapes, Rice and Corn Chex, Creme de Menthe baking chips and a block of chocolate almond bark. She is getting set for Christmas baking! I'm getting in the mood too.
Today I got good news from Ardis - the '94 Mercury passed the Alberta safety inspection! I phoned Richard, the mechanic at Long Creek Motors, to thank him for doing such a good job of checking the car over and replacing parts that were worn. He didn't miss anything! Now Ardis can get rid of her other car and transfer the plates and insurance to the Mercury.
Regina had a victory parade down Albert Street, now known as "The Green Mile", for the Riders on Tuesday. The weather was cloudy and cold but that didn't stop thousands of fans from coming out to share in their joy at winning the Grey Cup.
I put a Facetime call through this afternoon and got to see Nora in her little bathtub playing with her tub toys. Not many homes in Norway have bathtubs so when she graduates from her little tub it will be showers only. It was hard for Kristy to see her folks leave this morning after spending a month with them. They will spend a few days in Helsinki and a few in London before heading home to Brooks next week.
Thursday is library day again for me. Tomorrow I'm going to read Jan Brett's "The Mitten". It has such fascinating pictures, beautiful artwork.
I baked bread today and also made a batch of granola so that's what will be on the breakfast table in the morning. Enjoy these last days of November. Happy Thanksgiving to friends and family in the US.

You better explain to others who Walter Freddy is! Hope Nora enjoys him. Looks like your shopping trip was a success.
