Stormy weather ahead?

Flowers for the dancer

There are thunderstorms forecast for southern SK tonight.  I usually go by the forecast for Ambrose, ND just seven miles south-east of the farm.  They don't have any warnings so that sounds good to me.  Showers and thunderstorms are possible during this week too.  Time will tell.

Ashley is staying with me for a few days.  Tonight we watched "Annie" after we got back from Estevan.  We've been gone most of the day - to church in Torquay at 10:30, then to Estevan after our coffee hour.  We were early for Carter's band concert at Hillcrest School, so we went to St. Joeseph's to visit.  The girls were happy to spot Ken in the cafeteria so we sat down with him awhile and had some treats from the cafeteria.  Then Jamie and Lindsay wanted to see the 1000 piece puzzle that Ken is currently working on.  Ashley wanted to visit Pearl (Marcotte) so we stopped to visit her.  She wasn't having a good day, was in bed and had her two sisters visiting.

Then we were off to the band concert.  It was scheduled for outdoors but the day was cool and windy so it was moved to the gym, with a full house there.  Carter is in his second year of band, plays the saxophone that both Kirk and Todd played.  We enjoyed the afternoon, although Ashley had her hands over her ears a couple times when the music was too loud for her liking.

Lindsay, Jamie and Ashley spent Saturday night at the farm.  I met Shauna and the girls in Halbrite on Sat. morning.  The girls came with me to Ashley's dance recital in Milestone at 2:00.  We stopped at DQ in Weyburn for lunch.  The DQ in Estevan has been closed for almost a year after a fire there last June so DQ is a treat for us!

We all enjoyed the dance recital, Ashley's first.  Now I have been to all three recitals this spring, Abbey's in April, Lindsay and Jamie's earlier in May.  Laurel emailed some pictures.

With that I am off to bed.  Clare should be home by midnight but I don't wait up for him.  Seeding has been going well for the last couple days.  It takes awhile to get used to a newer, bigger tractor (a Case) but they seem to have the monitors and settings pretty well figured out now.  Have a good last week in May!

Monday morning update:  I woke up at 4:00 am. It was raining!  The lights in the garage and the hallway were still on, and no work boots were in the hallway so no Clare home yet.  I soon saw lights coming, but they went by.  I crawled back into bed until I heard the door open half an hour later.  Clare had moved the outfit west of here around midnight and seeded the best part of a quarter before the rain started.  So he is sleeping in this morning!  Ashley just woke up at 7:30 so we will have to quiet this morning so Clare can sleep.  Bye for now!  It is still raining.
