I was just thinking of heading for bed when I realized that it is Thursday and no middle of the week blog, yet. So here I am with a quickie.
Monday was another snowy, windy day so I was pleased that I could get out of the yard on Tuesday without sending an SOS. I made it to quilting but it was a short day as I came late and left early. Kirk and Shauna were heading for Regina so I went to Lampman in the afternoon to stay with Carter, Lindsay and Jamie for two nights. The roads were no longer icy like they were in the morning, but were very slushy. I used lots of windshield washer fluid as everytime I met a vehicle, the windshield was a mess. My kiwi Escape was more of a brown colour and still is as there's not much point in washing it until the weather improves. The roads were great when I drove back to the farm today but there's a weather advisory again tonight!
I had a fun time in Lampman and got to see Carter's hockey game on Tuesday night, played Snakes and Ladders and watched a movie with Jamie, and was impressed with Lindsay doing a great job of cleaning up her room, without being told to do so! Was your Mom surprised? I also got a quilt tied, read a short novel and visited Grandma Louise with the girls. This morning the girls helped make ginger cookies before Lindsay left for school!
I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow afternoon so thought I better come up tonight before it snows. I had to cancel my last one when I was blocked in. I need my prescriptions filled so better get that done before we head for Norway. Abbey was curling tonight in Weyburn and Clare was off to a bonspiel in Midale. I stayed home and watched figure skating on TV!
Ashley is in her first skating carnival tomorrow night so I'm hoping to go to Milestone after my appointment. That will depend on the condition of the roads! It's hard to plan ahead these days.
This is short, with no pictures but it's an update!
Have a good rest of the week. I'll be back on Sunday!
