Memo from Milestone

I am on the first leg of my Alberta trip, drove to Milestone this afternoon in time to see Ashley's skating lesson.  When I went out to follow Laurel home, no car keys in my pocket!  The Escape was locked and the keys were in plain view on the seat.  I am thankful for my CAA membership!  I will take care to always lock my vehicle using the key, instead of hitting the button on the door!  Lesson learned.

It's very windy tonight so hope that calms down by morning.  The bus leaves at 8:30 so we will be leaving the farm by 7:15.  I have Nora's Christmas stocking to work on so that should keep me busy on the seven hour bus ride.  The top and the toe are done in long legged cross-stitch so I practised that tonight so I have a start on it.

The Mexican travellers should be back in Brooks now and adjusting to these much cooler temperatures with even colder temps forecast for the weekend ahead.  Our travel plans will be determined by the weather as there could be more snow on Saturday by the sounds of the forecast.  Time will tell.

It was mild here today so the snow is gone from the roads.

Well, I promised you a short post tonight so that's it for now.  More on the weekend.
