I made four peach pies this morning, froze them before baking so they'll be like fresh when we serve them for some special occasion in the future.
Then I canned seven more quarts. There are nine peaches left of the four cases. They are in the fridge to be enjoyed in the next few days. Of the 160 peaches in the four cases, I only came across one spoiled one! I took some pictures of the process.

| My trusty old steam canner |
 |
| Peaches immersed in boiling water to loosen the skins |
 |
| Jars on the rack over boiling water |
 |
| Steamed for 30 minutes and waiting for them to seal |
 |
The finished product, eight pints
(the canner will do seven quarts) |
Now that I've finished with peaches, here's my next project.

"Rain makes apple sauce" |
I'm planning to go to Estevan in the morning and take Howard along to the 10 o'clock service at Trinity. Pastor Ron Bestvater is the guest speaker tomorrow and there will be a brunch to follow. I hope Howard is in a visiting mood! There is no service in Torquay tomorrow as Pastor Cicely is on holidays. Tomorrow is forecast to be quite warm so maybe we'll go back to St. Joseph's and visit in the air-conditioned Family Room. Have a good Sunday.
