Kristy emailed exciting news - her sister Jolene and Gib are engaged! The wedding date will determine when Todd and Kristy come to Canada so we'll wait and see.
Later in the day, Todd called and said Gib's best friend and neighbor was killed in a skidoo accident yesterday. What a tragedy for a married man with a young family! Why wasn't he home with them on Valentines Day? Poor Jolene and Gib, on a day that started out so happy for them, then the devastating news of his best friends death. News reports said a group of 8 were at Revelstoke when there was an avalanche. By the time Gib's friend was rescued, it was too late.
On that note, I'm off to bed. Tomorrow the Diekragers come back and the Johnson kids will join us. I wonder if Grandma and Grandpa are up to these youngsters!!
