Alan and Judy had plans for their family to get together in Whitefish, Montana for an anniversary celebration. Those plans were put on hold when Judy had surgery in Regina on February 26.
Judy has a checkup scheduled for March 9 so they will get to spend that day in Regina, not exactly a pleasure trip but hopefully a good report.
Fifty years together is a special milestone. Our grandparents, Hans and Bertha Haaland, Albert and Sophia Erickson, made their 50th and more. Mom and Dad had 43 years together, Howard and I had almost 46, Mervin and Jan had their 50th last year and Sandra and Merle's 50th will be in two years. Alan and I just had our 3rd (or 36 months!) We are thankful for each day that we have together.
Congratulations Alan and Judy on fifty years together. You have gone through good times and tough times, times of joy and times of sorrow and you have faced them together. We wish you God's blessings today and in the days to come and hope that you can have a wonderful celebration with your family when the time is right.
