HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARK AND JODY!

Two of our nephews through marriage have birthdays today.

Mark joined the Merv Erickson family when he and Heather were married on May 18, 1996.  Here's a picture taken on Mark and Heather's wedding day 15 years ago.

Tayha Theresia joined the family on January 10, 2002.

Cooper Joe arrived on August 1, 2005.

Here's a recent picture of Heather and Mark Rolfes.   Mark is an industrial arts teacher in Birch Hills.  He has used his expertise in this field to build two houses and renovate another one since moving to Birch Hills.  They now live on an acreage a few miles from town.

Have a very Happy Birthday, Mark, as you join the forties gang!

Jody became part of our Erickson family on July 12, 1997 when he and Tanya were married in an outdoor wedding in Frontier.  He worked at Honey Bee Manufacturing for several years until taking a position as a salesman for John Deere at South Country Equipment Ltd. in Moose Jaw, where they now reside.

Kelsey joined them on February 4, 1999.

On February 19, 2002 twin girls arrived and were named Macey Ann and Madison Lynn.

Here's a recent picture of them as part of my brother Alan and Judy's family, along with Judy's mom, Grandma Caroline.

Have a very Happy Birthday, Jody, your last one in the thirties!

We are also remembering our dear friend Pearl, who would have celebrated her 86th birthday today.  Here's a picture taken of her and baby Ashley on one of our last visits at her place.  Pearl died suddenly in July 2008 just a few days after celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Grimsrud farm and her 83rd birthday.  Blessed be her memory.
