We will miss the Remembrance Day service in Torquay on Wednesday as Howard has an eye appointment in Regina that day with Dr. Mervitz. We will drive to Milestone to take in a Remembrance Day program at the school, then go with Laurel and Ashley to Regina. I'm not fond of city driving so am happy to have a chauffeur.
On Friday we made a quick trip to Estevan as Howard needed some blood work done to check his Vitamin B12 level. He is feeling so much better since quitting two pills he was on - an antidepressant and one for anxiety. I've been reading about problems from low levels of B12 and Dr. Katie agreed to have it checked out.
We enjoyed a visit on Friday from Abbey and her friend, Shaylene. They helped make pancakes for lunch and pizza for supper. Here they are, putting the finishing touches on their wiener and hamburger pizzas. We always make three as that's how many pizza pans I have. They are Pyrex ones that I got at the Co-op in Estevan years ago. They are the best!
Sunday was an absolutely gorgeous day, nicer than any summer day could be! It was sunny, calm and a high of plus 18.3 degrees C. Hard to believe it's November. But the remains of snow banks in the trees remind us that winter is just around the corner. It will cool off this week with a high of minus 2 in the forecast for next Saturday.
We watched the skating special on NBC this afternoon featuring the Canadian Tenors. We were disappointed that the Tenors only sang twice, at the end of the two hour program. Love those Canadian Tenors!!
Just a note about visits to my blog this past week. Thursday saw a record 30 visits, thanks to a link that Kristy put on Facebook about her birthday blog. There were visitors from Italy, New Zealand, Australia, Norway, the US and Canada.
Well, I better get off the computer and go and spend some quality time with my tenor.
Have a great week.
