Happy Birthday, Greg!

Today our son-in-law turned 45. We didn't buy Greg a present but I promised him some baking - cinnamon rolls, buns and ginger cookies. He's not very happy with all this rainy/snowy weather when he'd like to be out in the field seeding. The land is so flat around Milestone that the water can't drain away so there will be lots of sloughs to go around.

My new washing machine was delivered today!! The fourth load is in it now and that will be it for today. I'll do some bedding and towels tomorrow. It looks like tomorrow will be a baking day too as we are almost out of cookies. Howard has to have cookies with his coffee! Ginger cookies are not his favorite so maybe it will be chocolate chips. I'm craving pumpkin pie so I think that will be on my to do list as well.

The ground was white this
morning but it soon melted. It's still in the forecast so we'll see what tomorrow brings.

We talked to Kristy and Todd today. I had called her cell last month, talked for 12 minutes and the bill was 33 cents! I love Sask Tel's bundle with the cheap rates for overseas calls. We can talk to Todd in Norway for an hour for the cost of mailing them a letter.

Laurel sent pictures that she took at Abbey's dance recital on Sunday so I will add a couple here. Ashley and Abbey are good pals. Abbey gave her a Polly Pocket house with several dolls that she got at a garage sale so Ashley is having lots of fun with that. We enjoyed the DQ ice cream cake with dancer Abbey!
