ANNIVERSARIES

Shauna and Kirk
Salem Lutheran Church
April 8, 2000
Laurel and Greg
Our Saviours Lutheran Church
April 12, 1997

There are two wedding anniversaries in the Johnson family in the first part of April.  Kirk and Shauna celebrated their 15th on April 8,  Laurel and Greg their 18th today, April 12.  Those years fly by!

Alan and I will be celebrating our 2nd on Tuesday, the 2nd month that is!  We are celebrating the monthly ones as when you get married in your seventies, we know we won't be celebrating any big number of years.  We will enjoy and be thankful for each month that we have together.

We had our last quilting day at Trinity last week with 101 quilts completed.  They have been displayed on the church pews and will soon be packed away and distributed to nursing homes and St. Joseph's Hospital in Estevan, to Lutheran World Relief and also to charities in Regina.  A few will be available to purchase at our Steak Supper on Saturday at Trinity. (Supper tickets are still available.  Tickets are $20 for adults with special music starting at 4:00 and the supper at 6:00)

This was a great weekend for sport fans like Alan.  He was kept busy switching from baseball games to curling, the Masters Golf tournament and a few hockey games.  The hockey playoffs start this Wednesday.

Wednesday is another important day for the Johnson family as it is Todd's birthday. We look forward to hearing Nora sing a Norwegian birthday greeting to Papa on Facetime! The school term at the folk school will be ending the middle of May so just over a month left in their first year there.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with the lawyer to draw up a new will.  A marriage makes previous wills invalid so we both had to make new ones.

Well, it's soon bedtime so this will be all for tonight.  Have a great week.
