We've had storm warnings for several days and were on the edge of one today. It hit around five o'clock this afternoon with wind, rain and a few small hailstones. Other areas didn't fare as well. Here are some pictures.

| On the beach in sunny Sweden! (no weather woes here) |
Jeff is going to make a quick trip out to Alberta after work tomorrow as he has the next three days off. He's been working hard here in the yard - chopped down several trees that were growing too close to the north side of the house and trimmed a few others.
Abbey's team won their first ball game in Warman and will play again tomorrow after getting rained out today.
Dawson and Eric passed their swimming lessons but Ashley needs a little more work before she moves on to the next level. She has improved a lot and is really enjoying the water now. They drove home in heavy rain after their swim today.
Todd, Kristy and Nora have no complaints about the weather in Sweden. They are staying in a cottage in Umeå, Sweden where it's plus 22º C. It's raining back home in Kristiansund so they picked a good time to go away and headed to the right place too! Check it out on google. It looks like a place where they'll be returning in the future, lots of things to do with children too.
We have a yearly Sunday service at Salem Lutheran Church, two miles north of our farm. This year's service will be on August 18th at 10:30. We have often had the service around Howard's birthday, which is the 11th of August. But Clare's and Kirk's will just be getting home from camping at Clear Lake, Manitoba that day so we've set it for the next Sunday. Everyone is welcome. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy visiting after the service.
