A Home Body

Tiger Lilies in front of the deck
It's Sunday evening and time for another blog post.  It might be a short one as I really haven't much to report since Thursday!  I didn't even go to town for the mail until today so have been sticking close to home the last few days.

I was off to Trinity this morning, stayed for coffee after the service and then went to the cafe for lunch.  Jason's helpings are big so I had enough to take home for my supper too!  It's good to have the cafe open again after being closed for six months while Jason was in China.

Sandra would have lots to tell you if she was writing this blog.  Last week her doctor diagnosed her stomach problems as gastroparesis.  I had never heard of it but there's lots about it if you check on google.  My favourite site is the Mayo Clinic.  He is going to do further tests to be sure that is what she has.  If it is, there is no cure but she will have to change her eating habits considerably.  She is doing that and already notices improvement. Then on Friday afternoon their farm was struck by a severe storm that brought three inches of rain plus hail that wiped out her garden and damaged crops.  It was quite a welcome for some of the Sanford family just arriving from Kansas.  They had to wait out the storm in their car until it was safe to venture into the house!  On Monday they are having a family get together as Mandy's and Mareena's will also be home to visit with the Kansas Sanfords.  Freshly baked cinnamon rolls are on the breakfast menu!

Here are pictures of the tattered flower beds.  She said the tomato plants were stripped of their leaves but had a few tiny green tomatoes hanging on them.  No pictures of her garden that is no more.

As promised, this is short!  Maybe I'll be more inspired to write by the middle of the week!  Check by and find out.
