Special Visitor

Abbey came to the farm because her mom is in Las Vegas and her dad is seeding. She played with a baby kitty. We went to Salem to dust and plant some flowers. We went to church and went to Leah's wedding shower. She got a lot of presents. On Sat. we made cookies, cupcakes and pizza. We watched Alice in Wonderland. Our weekend was so much fun!

The first paragraph was typed by Abbey so now it's Grandma's turn. The hockey game is on but I'm not really watching it tonight, just keeping track of it from the office. The score isn't good for the Flyers so far but the game isn't over yet so who knows what can happen.

Tomorrow our Faith circle is visiting at Hillview Manor in Estevan. We will have a short program and bring some lunch to share with the residents. It's always good to visit over a cup of coffee.

On Thursday Howard and I have our yearly checkups with Dr. Katie Fong in Weyburn. Then we will head to Lampman for Lindsay's kindergarten graduation at 7:00 pm. We usually stay overnight when we come for an evening event so will do some shopping in Estevan on our way home on Friday. I hope to have grad pictures to post next week!

Rain is in the forecast again so seeding may come to an end whether we are finished or not. Clare finished the flax and is putting in some wheat now.

Well, that's it for this week. Tomorrow is a Flag Day in Norway so I better get the Norsk flag ready. The Norway/Sweden union was dissolved on this date in 1905. We were in Norway for the centennial of this event. An interesting project that celebrated this 100th anniversary was the opening of the new Svinesund bridge between the two countries! One of my great grandmothers, Mathilda (Munter) Stenson, was born in Sweden so I can celebrate with both countries.
