WELCOME TO ELAINE'S BLOG

I started this blog in February of 2010 when I turned 68 so my blog is now ten years old. My goal when I started was to publish a new post once a week. Now it's down to once a month!!I appreciate your comments and am often surprised to find out who some of my readers are. Thank you for your support and encouragement.

I enjoy reading, sewing quilt tops, baking, playing my accordion, playing Scrabble with Facebook friends, and keeping in touch with family and friends. It is special to visit with my granddaughters in Norway via Facetime. Nora turned 7 years old in September and Elly Clara was 3 in July. I have 3 grandsons and 6 granddaughters. Alan has 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter so that makes 13 grandchilden who we share.

On February 14, 2015 I married my first boyfriend, Alan James Lutz. We were high school sweethearts at Frontier in 1958. I am thankful for God's presence and His guidance in my life. I had this sentence at the end of my last welcome post - "I don't know what the future holds, but I know He holds the future and I leave it in His hands." Little did I know how life would change in the next year. We are both so thankful to have fallen in love in our seventies and now living here at the farm. Alan sold his trailer in Bon Accord and moved here on March 5, 2015. We have now celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary but will continue to remember our anniversary on the 14th of each month, so that makes it 60 months now!!
