We had a classic car show up at Trinity on Sunday. Allan and Adele drove to church in their 1953 Chev that had been in the family all these years. It has not needed restoring as it has been kept under cover and taken out for a drive occasionally. It has 19,000 miles on it!
Yesterday we drove to Weyburn in the afternoon as Eric had a ballgame at 3:00. It was a treat to watch ball instead of hockey! Eric made a great play at shortstop when he caught a fly ball, then tagged the runner from second base to get another out. Way to go, Eric!

Congratulations to Jodi Johnson who recently received a twenty year pin from Holy Family Separate School Division for her years of teaching in that division. Jodi teaches grade nine students at St. Michaels Junior High in Weyburn.
We made a quick trip to Estevan today as Alan had a tooth that was bothering him. He could get in at 1:00. Then he had to make a decision - have it pulled or have a root canal. He opted for the pull so came home with a frozen jaw. It has thawed out now but he wants soft foods for supper as it is tender.
We are leaving from Estevan on Thursday morning for our bus trip to three Blue Jays games in Minneapolis this weekend. We stay in Fargo on Thursday and Sunday nights and will be back on Monday afternoon. Wes and Linda Hansen will also be on the bus so it's good to know at least two other people who are going with us.
Clare, and his helper Gerry, are doing the last of the seeding "out west." They have their campers at Oungre park so don't have to drive far to get "home" after a long work day.
This is my update for the past week. Don't look for my next post until Tuesday. At the top of the page is a space for emails. If you would like an email when there is a new post, just add your email address in that space.
It was our turn to serve coffee after church on Sunday. I have lots of rhubarb so decided to make rhubarb pies. I also made a Flapper one as there is too much sugar in the rhubarb pie for Alan. Vi wanted the recipe so I'll pass it along here.
RHUBARB SOUR CREAM PIE (Sandra's recipe)
1 pie shell (use a deep 9" or 10" dish)
4 cups sliced rhubarb (about half inch pieces)
1 cup white sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 cup sour cream (can use yogurt)
Put rhubarb in pie shell. Mix sugar, flour and sour cream.
Pour over rhubarb.
Topping:
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup margarine
Mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over pie.
Bake at 425ºF for 10 minutes on bottom rack of oven.
Reduce heat to 350ºF for 45 minutes or until bubbly and brown.

Have a wonderful trip!
